Just seven months ago, ‘Heroine’ topped local and international charts. Today, Sunmi is finally back with her latest mini-album titled 'Warning'. This time she has participated in the creation of all the tracks in the album from writing the lyrics to co-producing.

Her past two comebacks were chart-topping hits, 'Gashina' and 'Heroine'. With the release of her latest album ‘Warning', the title track Siren came along as well. The release of 'Siren' is the last song of the trilogy following 'Gashina' and 'Heroine'.

'Siren' was revealed to be considered as a title track for Wonder Girls during their 'Why So Lonely' era but it was not suited to be played as a band. Looking at the teasers being released since days ago, we would expect this song to be a strong rival on the charts in the coming weeks.

From the music video, it shows the dual meaning to 'Siren' which means a sign for warning and also in Greek mythology; the Sirens were dangerous creatures, who lured nearby sailors with their enchanting music and singing voices to shipwreck on the rocky coast of their island. Throughout the music video, the duality of the meaning behind 'Siren' was evidently portrayed.

The music video starts with the room Sunmi is in being flooded with red lights and the sound of sirens. There were also scenes where Sunmi was seen as a Siren, literally. As expected for 'Siren' to be the end of the trilogy, the music video showed it’s clear stylistic and visual connections to 'Gashina' and 'Heroine'.

The song had an overall retro vibe to it. Sunmi captured our attention with her alluring looks and vibrant, fashionable clothes and well-decorated sets. She didn't fail to display her signature quirky, interesting dance moves during the chorus. We are sure the dance moves will catch on to the public soon! This song could be well described as the epitome of 21st-century girl crush concept as her lyrics revolve around her honest feelings towards a guy who is already turning hopeless as she sings “get away out of my face” repeatedly throughout the chorus.

We figured out that since 'Heroine' is the backstory for 'Gashina', 'Siren' is probably the prequel of 'Heroine' regarding the flow of the story portrayed in the three songs. This song is definitely a must listen!
